"Bill was born in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire and at times still thinks of himself as a Lancashire Lad despite living in All Stretton since 1976 – more than half his lifetime! He’s married to Lynn who is chair of Church Stretton Flower Club. They have two grown-up children: a daughter Sally who lives in Richmond, Surrey and a son David who lives in Richmond, Virginia.
Bill is now retired but spent 40 years working in the computer industry, tackling most jobs from programming to systems analysis and eventually moved into management, latterly for the I.T. dept of a French company based in Telford. He loves walking in the hills, classical music, good food and wine (thankfully Lynn is an excellent cook). He’s a Governor at Church Stretton school and a member of Stretton Choral Society.
Bill would like to share with the local community the enjoyment he’s derived from being a member of Rotary and hopes to introduce new members to the club who can take pleasure in good company and food, listen to fascinating Speakers and do good works both in the local community and further afield."
